so unfortunately, as you can see, the picnick bbq truck line was ridonkadonk. thus, this will be our next food cart adventure (in which we will leave for lunch around 11:30am to wait on line / beat the massive crowd).
after deciding that we were not going to spend our whole lunch hour waiting on the bbq line, alice and i turned around and started walking down the street… when to our surprise we found the La Cense burger truck!

located at wall street and front street, the La Cense burger truck has received food blogger Adam Perry Lang’s “stamp of approval” (http://newyork.grubstreet.com/2009/06/grass-fed_burger_truck_moooove.html).
we both ordered a cheeseburger with lightly salted kettle chips, with a pickle on the side for alice. we both agree that the burger was delicious and not oily/greasy; however, we found ourselves dousing our burgers with lots of ketchup and mustard, as the meat was a bit unflavorful… and anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that i am regularly an excessive condiment user, so this was something.
the portions were satisfying. the burger was a bit pricey ($7.50). all in all, we give this cart 3.0 stars.
